2019-2020 Reporting Process

Please note: Each District must complete their 2019-2020 Outdoor School Report to gain access to their 2020-2021 Outdoor School Funding Application (which will not be accessible until early May 2020)

April 2020 - Our online application/reporting tool is now available for 2019-2020 reporting.

For those Districts who are dealing with COVID-19 related cancellations - please read our latest information and don't hesitate to contact us should you have questions.

The 2019-2020 Outdoor School Measure 99 reporting process will use the online reporting system linked above.  Each district was required to register at the time of your application, so if you are uncertain of your login and password, please contact us for help, or if it’s just your password that you’ve lost track of, please use the "forgot your password" link under the left side of the login button.

Once in the system, you will be asked to select the applicable COVID-19 Response for each school in your district.  If the school attended outdoor school in the fall, you would select the “Standard Report”, and if your school was forced to cancel your outdoor school in the spring because of COVID-19, you would select Response Strategy 2 (the cancellation report).

Each reporting form permits the district’s “outdoor school program lead” to either complete the report themselves, or to delegate the online completion of their school(s) report(s). The delegation process sends a link (in an email) to the district's delegate requesting that they complete the appropriate portions of the named school’s report.

IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS: The district or their delegate can enter the online system as little or as frequently as necessary to complete their report. However, as with most systems, you are encouraged to SAVE your work frequently, and to assist in the data collection process, the Outdoor School team has created the following document for your use:

2019-2020 Report Questions

The Response Strategy 2 (cancellation report) form is limited to questions about total incurred costs (not in per-student dollars), other funding sources, general comments, and it requires that the school/district provide a complete package of backup documentation for the cost reimbursements requested.

We also recommend that you review the following documents so you'll be starting the process with a complete understanding of the funding process.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Budget Categories and Fiscal Policies

Please note that your district cannot (yet) submit for two payments (fall and spring). Only one report/payment cycle can be managed at this time. We appreciate your understanding!

2020-2021 Application Process

Please note: The 2020-2021 Outdoor School Funding Application deadline for first consideration will tentatively close June 5, 2020; 1 month after the tentative application open date of May 4, 2020. Districts meeting this first consideration date will be guaranteed funding for their 5th and 6th grade students, and any 7th grade students included in these applications will be funded as funding permits. All applications received after the first consideration deadline will be considered in the order received, with funding for 5th and 6th grade students prioritized, and 7th grade student funding issued as funds permit.

To accommodate those districts who would like to utilize COVID-19 Response Strategy 3 (7th grade waivers) the 2020-2021 Outdoor School Measure 99 fund application process will be a slightly modified version of our usual online application system.

If your district has not yet used this online system, your district will need to register as a user (select Not a member in the lower right below the login button), and you’ll need your Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) number to identify you as a unique and qualified registrant. If you do not have an IGA with Oregon State University or do not have a copy of the agreement, please contact us for help.

Once registered, this username/password will be used for all future access (only one registrant per district). If the password is lost, please use the "forgot your password" link under the login form. As with the reporting form, the application form permits the district’s “outdoor school program lead” to complete the application themselves, or delegate the online completion of their school(s) application(s). The delegation process sends a link (in an email) to the district's delegate requesting that they complete the appropriate portions of the named school’s application.

Unlike previous forms of the application, the 2020-2021 application will have a question/field for the number of 7th grade students to be considered in this application. If you enter a number other than zero (0) for this field, you will also be asked to check a box certifying that these students did not attend outdoor school previously using Measure 99 funds (their 6th grade experience was cancelled in response to COVID-19 requirements). In some cases, the application for these 7th graders will require that you add a new school to your list of district schools for which you are applying. If you do not see one or more schools listed in your district’s pick list, please contact us.

IMPORTANT IMPROVEMENTS: The district or their delegate can enter the online system as little or as frequently as necessary to complete their application. However, as with many systems, we recommend that you SAVE your work frequently, and to assist in the data collection process, the Outdoor School team has created the following document for your use:
