CDL Panel
During the COVID-19 pandemic, many outdoor school providers and districts are developing Comprehensive Distance Learning (CDL) outdoor school programs to serve students who are participating in school online or via some other form of remote learning. These transitions to CDL programming are supported by the OSU Extension Service Outdoor School program's COVID-19 response strategies for 2020-2022. On December 18, 2020, we hosted a panel discussion with representatives from four outdoor school programs that are developing CDL outdoor school programs.

In Spring 2020, we created ten weekly activity sets to support students in making nature observations, keeping nature journals, and exploring interactive virtual resources. Perhaps some of these activities might inspire some of your work to transition to modified outdoor school programming!
