Biography
Jim is passionate about making the outdoors more accessible and inclusive for all. He and his partner live in Corvallis with their adventure dog, Charlie, and cat, French Fry. He can often be found hiking or biking in the forest or packrafting a local river. Jim worked in the outdoor industry for 20 years before joining the Outdoor School program, and he holds many volunteer positions, including Board Director for Linn Benton Lincoln ESD, Benton County Search & Rescue, and OSU Forest Recreation Advisory Council member. He earned his B.S. in Ecological Engineering from Oregon State University, and is currently working toward master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Business Administration.
