Children and adults are likely to need extra support during outdoor school this year as they deal with disrupted schooling, continue to adapt to the pandemic, and experience a historic social justice movement. In this social-emotional learning (SEL) webinar (originally recorded September 22nd, 2020), we discussed how educators can develop their own and students' social and emotional skills during outdoor school - in whatever form outdoor school takes this year. We explored the link between equity and social-emotional learning, shared and practiced strategies for supporting social-emotional competencies, and considered how social-emotional learning shows up in outdoor school this year and every year.
As part of our COVID-19 response strategies for 2020-2022, we are tracking organizations' participation in this Social-Emotional Learning webinar using a post-webinar survey. Please expand the Post-webinar Survey tab below for more information.
