SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING

Social-emotional learning (SEL) is a huge part of outdoor school. This year, it's more important than ever. Students are adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic and experiencing many other challenges. We can offer them support by intentionally building social-emotional learning opportunities into outdoor school, no matter what form outdoor school takes. It is essential that we recognize the link between SEL and equity as we do this work.
